Can you believe the Holiday’s are once again upon us?

It’s crazy how fast a year can go by.

Of course, The Bob Narley Show is known for our great holiday comedy bits, comedy songs, parody songs, and comedy Podcasts.  By far, the most popular comedy piece on the site during the holidays is Crusty The Snowman. It’s been featured on hundreds of radio shows all over the world and yet we still offer it for Free download. Webmaster Steve will testify that this website receives so many visitors during the holidays that we actually have to install special scripts and software to monitor the servers and maintain our fast download times. Unfortunately, after a technical upgrade we did a few weeks ago, a large portion of our audio archives are still off line. We are trying to upload and reconfigure things as fast as we can. Poor Steve, he’s pulling his hair out. The last calm word I heard him say was “Don’t worry Bob, it’s just a simply script and database update. It’s no problem”.

I’ve been in the studio all week trying to finish a Thanksgiving comedy song. It’s taking forever! I’m scheduled to do a radio show on WLUP Thanksgiving night and would really like to have it ready. I’ll be sure to post it to the website if I get it done in time. My train leaves Barrington at 5:30 pm, giving me only a few hours tonight and tomorrow to get it done. Luckily the song works for Christmas too, however I think it fits Thanksgiving even better. It’s called Butterball.

My friends from Second City have all promised to come over to the studio to work on our traditional holiday Podcast. They all have busy day jobs so it’s getting hard to schedule all these guys for the same studio time. Each of last years holiday Podcasts have been download over 182,000 times, and have received amazing reviews all over the web. Thanks to everyone for spreading the word and supporting the whole crew with your emails.

Allright, I’m back to the studio. I need to finish 2 versus worth of lyrics and record the Thanksgiving comedy song by tomorrow. Why do I always leave these things for the last minute.
